Warmhearted Care for the Patients ― President, Sannno Hospital The Sanno Internal clinic, the predecessor of Sanno Hospital, was established in 1937 in Aoyama, Minato ward. It was named Sanno Hospital when it moved to Sanno‐shita, Chiyoda ward. I am very pleased to say that the Sanno Hospital was remodeled in November, 2000, based on having fiduciary relations between patients and hospital staff members, with the purpose of general modernization and of technological most advanced in medicine. I think there are four important elements in the medical services. The first is the level of skill of clinical doctors. Sanno hospital has invited excellent doctors from major medical universities/schools of medicine in Japan from each field of medicine. We are, therefore, able to announce that each patient will be satisfied with our appropriate treatment and services. The second important element is the level of cooperative staff members in co-medical fields, such as nurses, technicians, radiologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. Viewed from this light, we allocate experienced and trustworthy personnel in each necessary place for our patients. The third element is fulfillment and perfection of medical machinery/equipment and facilities in the hospital. The newly constructed Sanno Hospital is developing its building, medical facilities,instruments and amenities up to the most advanced level in Japan. As a matter of course, the medical field progresses day by day, and we should follow this trend with prompt action. The forth element and I think the most important point, is warmhearted consideration and care for the patients. In all situations, our patients are the highest priority, and each of our staff members makes it his/her principle to satisfy each patient's wish before anything else. In addition, one of our most firm commitments is respecting patients' privacy, so you will have a comfortable and relaxing time in each department's waiting hall. The hospital's main theme is to maintain satisfaction of both medication and amenities，and it can be said that most hospitals in Japan have been facing difficulties satisfying the above aims，and for a long time. From this point of view，the new Sanno hospital has been trying to accomplish its theme and to take the initiative in hospital care nationwide for the 21st century. High Level Service in Medicine and Warmth in Heart ― Director, Sanno Hospital Sixty years have passed since Sanno hospital was established in 1937. The hospital changed location twice during those years. In 1996,large‐scale construction of the hospital was undertaken, and we have introduced the most advanced medical equipment at that time, and also established a reproduction center(center for infertility counseling and treatment). But there was not enough space for counseling rooms and waiting areas for patients, so the guests had to wait for a long time. Our fundamental services were housed under insufficient conditions, and the advancement of medicine and the modernization of the facility were physically limited. Therefore, the remodeled hospital was launched at a different location. In the new hospital, we have renewed facilities and introduced medical instruments and equipment in each department that are the most advanced in their fields. Now the speed of examinations and testing in our laboratory has been accelerated, and the number of operation rooms has increased. Accordingly, more types of operations have been made possible by using this new equipment. As for our personnel, high level and experienced medical staff members are placed in each department, and accordingly a balance in personnel structure has been established. Sanno Hospital indeed has taken the first step into the 21st century. In Japan, the number of aged people has been increasing. Therefore, the structure and trend of diseases will be changed in various ways in the future. Due to the above circumstances, Sanno Hospital will be able to address this future trend in medicine with eminent and experienced doctors and medical co-workers. In all cases, patients are the center of our services, and we hope through our endeavors and courtesy to our patients that Sanno Hospital will be given the emblem of trust from each patient. |
